Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate Factory, Greenbank Road, Bristol

The Chocolate Factory is a major redevelopment project on the former Elizabeth Shaw chocolate factory site in Greenbank, Bristol. This mixed-use scheme aims to create a vibrant community, combining residential, commercial, and leisure spaces.

The Brief

To take the existing high level programme and develop a detailed construction programme for all three phases. During the construction of the works, regular attendances to site to monitor progress and feedback to the project team.

Challenges:

Covid-19 and the reduction in on site labour and the shortage of materials.

Solutions:

Ament and reschedule the programme based on resource levels on site.
Adapt the programme to suite deliveries of brick and plasterboard based on availability from the suppliers.

Fairford On-Going - 2024-25

Subject to planning, Fairford Green will comprise a five-phase development of thirty-four 1 – 5 bedroom homes. Built over five phases, the development will comprise new dwellings, followed by the conversion of Coln House, Applestone Court Listed building, and conversion of the original swimming pool pavilion house. The development sits within the site of the former Coln House School, in the picturesque Cotswold market town of Fairford.

Start 2 Finish Project Planning are working with Acorn Group to produce the construction programmes for both Phases 1 & 2 of this scheme comprising of xx new houses.

The Brief:

To develop a detailed construction programme, fully logic linked and coded by trade so that filtered extracts can be produced by trade to assist the project management team in co-ordinating the trades.
